Line Break

Computer Geek / Network & Systems Administrator. I have been in computers my whole life and have dabbled in different programs and some web design. I like movies, music, dinners, cooking, hanging with friends, although I am more of a homebody. I like to debate my views with other people in politics, religion, equality, health care reform, and several other topics. I believe in equality for all, and not just some. We have the freedom of religion and the freedom from religion. No religion should dictate our laws, nor should we ever write any discrimination into the constitution. I also believe that just because the majority voted for something, doesn't mean it is the best thing for this country. Americans need to quit selling out their fellow man and demand that NAFTA be fixed now, or just needs to go away, period. America needs to take care of itself before its to late. We need health care reform now. We should never leave health & human services in the hands of the free market. We should never allow anyone to profit off the suffering of others.

Republican-Democrat polarize logos

It’s amazing to see all the finger pointing and the blatant hypocrisy in America today. For the past few days I have been reading a few forums on politics, morality, and general discussions in various web sites.

Reading these posts shows there is about a 50/50 split in the American thought process. You’re either a Republican, or a Democrat. If you’re a Democrat, you are called a socialist and someone who only thinks of himself. If you’re a republican, you’re a bible-thumping thug. I see something different, much different. I see the same old finger pointing blame game. But it’s the same blame you see on the news. Whether you listen to liberal radio or conservative radio. People rely solely on what they hear, rather then investigate and educate themselves enough to speak for themselves.

Americans have become nothing more then mindless drones. They are repeating everything they are supposed to repeat because that’s what the people in power want them to believe so they can stay in power. The tea parties in my eyes were a joke. This Tea Party could have been a powerful tool that the American people could of used to STAND TOGETHER, but no, it was a powerful tool used by the people in power to KEEP YOU DIVIDED. There is a saying we should all be quite familiar with, and regardless what party you stand for, you cannot deny its truth. “A house divided against itself cannot stand”.

America is so divided today that it has already failed. Are we supposed to solve our issues by blaming the minorities for the problems? Are we supposed to solve our problems by denying someone different the same basic human rights we ourselves expect everyone else to freely give us? Many “right wingers” have called the “liberals” socialists. To be fair, aren’t the “right wingers” socialists then? Every American has used the public school system. Every tax paying American has paid into the Social Security System. Every American that has lost his or her job has used the unemployment benefits due them by the taxes they paid. So I guess we are all socialists, right?

Many people blame the new Obama administration for the economic crisis in this country, and many other people blame the Bush administration for the economic crisis. Actually, if you read the history books, you will see this problem has been spiraling out of control since the beginning of the last century. So if you want to blame one administration, you need to blame them all, but if you really want to blame someone, blame yourself.

Well how can I blame myself you say? Well that’s easy; let me give you a simple scenario to help explain myself. Back in the 2004 elections, the two people fighting for the presidency used scapegoats to skirt the real issues affecting the American people. The major issue was gay rights; the second was to instill fear from terrorism and the importance that we have someone in power that could save us from the terrorists. Well for me, and many other Americans, the true problem we were facing was the amount of jobs being outsourced to foreign countries. The lack of wages we received from our jobs so we could afford the necessities to live. What about the ability to keep educating our children and ourselves so we could stay competitive in a global market? What about the ability to survive a medical catastrophe and be able to stay out of bankruptcy? But we as Americans have become way to complacent to think for ourselves and fell right into the trap where those in power want us to be in. They used fear and hate to divide a country in an issue, in my eyes, really shouldn’t be an issue.

I see a lot of wasted energy in these forums. Instead of fighting for our fellow American, we fight against him. Why aren’t you dropping your party lines and calling your senators and congressman to fight to bring our jobs back to our country, fix the health care system, and regulate the banking system? Why are you not protesting the high cost of living while your senators and congressman and CEO’s are living high on the hog? Why are you not calling the banks and demand that they work with your neighbor to keep his home? That foreclosure isn’t just his problem, it’s yours to.

For over 100 years, our government has been paid off and controlled by the same banks and corporations that continue to destroy and economically rape the American people.

Americans have forgot that the power is not within the government, but within them, only if they stand united and say enough is enough. How are sending tea bags to the government going to change anything? Here is a thought, lets stand up as a country and for our fellow man. The next time you open up that mortgage payment or that credit card statement; don’t put in your check – put in your teabags. Only then, when the PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES finally makes a stand, as one voice will there ever be a change.
