One says he loves you, the other says he hates you.


The question is – which one says what and why?

    Thanks for your comment, and I couldn't agree more. I was brought up in a very "in the name of Jesus" church. I have never seen so much intolerance and hate in my life. I couldn't take it and though that my life would be better spent caring for other people and trying to understand them rather than convert them to fit and age old and quite outdated set of beliefs. If there is a god, which I doubt very highly, I would think that this deity would have much better things to do other than create imperfect beings and force them to be perfect - in all honesty, it sounds kinds of terroristic.

    After a lifetime of experience and impartial observations of facts, my environment and humankind...I’m a solid atheist. I don’t hate or disrespect religious believers or have the slightest interest in “converting” them to atheism…. (live and let live). In fact, I don’t know another ‘declared’ atheist and my religious friends, unless they have asked, aren’t aware of my infidelity.

    In contrast, I have been 'preached' to friends and coworkers and approached countless times by bands of fervent strangers (crusading believers) whom are bent on converting me to their sect (“the only true faith and path to redemption”) for the glory of God and to save my sole from fire and damnation.

    In their bearing is an outward declaration of arrogance, superiority and intolerance of heterogeneity. There lies the difference between some ‘believers’ and the only Atheist I know…myself.
