Computer Geek / Network & Systems Administrator. I have been in computers my whole life and have dabbled in different programs and some web design. I like movies, music, dinners, cooking, hanging with friends, although I am more of a homebody. I like to debate my views with other people in politics, religion, equality, health care reform, and several other topics. I believe in equality for all, and not just some. We have the freedom of religion and the freedom from religion. No religion should dictate our laws, nor should we ever write any discrimination into the constitution. I also believe that just because the majority voted for something, doesn't mean it is the best thing for this country. Americans need to quit selling out their fellow man and demand that NAFTA be fixed now, or just needs to go away, period. America needs to take care of itself before its to late. We need health care reform now. We should never leave health & human services in the hands of the free market. We should never allow anyone to profit off the suffering of others.
Forbes Magazine on April 30th, 2007 brought out some interesting figures regarding our health care giants.

Adding up these figures would make a total of $227,208,400,000.
The median income for the average US citizen in 2005 was $23,484.
When we divide the combined revenues from the insurance agencies by the median US citizen salary, we get the total of 9,675,029.81 US citizen salaries.
Over 9 Million US citizens’ salaries!!!!
Isn’t this just an extreme amount of money going to just 13 of our major corporations?
Yet, these companies state they are hurting. How can these companies in any way shape or form be hurting???? How can they justify outsourcing our jobs to markets overseas? Where is the loyalty to their country?
Sorry, just because you hide behind a corporation does it give you a free ticket to be unpatriotic.
In each of the links above, you will see the difference between the revenues and the profits. Trust me when I say, they are making plenty.
The combined profit for 1 year for all 13 companies was: 11,975,900,000
So I must ask the following questions.
With these kinds of profits, can you state that their tactics to deny claims are justifiable in any way?
How much more outsourcing can this country handle before you say enough is enough, and these corporations need to put back into the country they so graciously take from?
Why should the US citizens always be the one to sacrifice in economic turmoil, while these companies continually raise their rates, and create new tactics to make more MONEY????
WHEN WILL YOU SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND ACTUALLY STAND WITH YOUR FELLOW AMERICANS AND DEMAND CHANGE????
