Have you ever played the game of RISK?

Our president of the U.S. has tried to get the Olympics here and failed. Some are now bashing him for this. Some are bashing him for leaving early over there. They are saying that (the ones voting) took it as an insult. Maybe he only stayed there that long because of the people (over here) saying "he has better things to do, like his health care problem, than go there for stupid games" He might, again, be trying to appease his right wingers. He, I see, is trying. Never mind the list of things many of our presidents have tried and failed to do.

This is maybe; and I am not saying it is, but could it be; the way WE ARE VIEWED AS AMERICANS, that we lost the bid?

Like one blogger said, “Come on we even sent Oprah,” hehe.

We have been bashing every other country, (which are pretty much all of them, now) THAT HAS A GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, down. We have been calling them socialist, Nazi's and Killers of old PEOPLE and the SICK... hmm.

No, that couldn't be it. Let's blame it on Obama. But, I remember seeing a video of Bush going over to a meeting and no one shaking his hand. I remember it happening to Obama, too. Two opposite beliefs and values of presidents, nonetheless both were bluntly rejected. Do you think it is WE who ARE BEING SHUNNED?

The other side of the world has like 6.5 billion people in the world. The U.S.A in the richest part of this side of the world, we have 300,000 million.

Canada is another one that has the government run health care system you vocally shun and call them outright, as liars. Mexico; ARE the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that is CAUSING ALL OUR PROBLEMS. They are the ones causing our health care failures, right?

I ask again, Have you ever played the game of RISK? It is a war game.

Hi there! I figured I'd be able to track you down. As you can tell from my last post on iReports, I'm pissed at the management team for not responding to the site being taken over by one or two disgruntled people. It does not give me the warm and fuzzies to think that they really can't get rid of the guy.

I'll hover a while and see what gives. Let's see if they even bother to respond to my pms and emails.

Hi Trudy, Nice post. I believe you are on to something. What I don't like is that our US capitalist, coporations, military, and other representatives of the our government have taken our Imperialism everywhere. Baby Bush's last 8 years of exploits of a coporatist in charge of a really powerful country has done a lot of diplomatic damage in the eyes of the world. The world doesn't understand our deeds anymore. Why we do what we do. I would imagine most people in the world only see us through the results of our actions. We are seen as just bullys by many. Bin Ladin makes no distinction between what our government does and the people who vote them into office and let them get away with all the things our country does abroad.

Bush trashed the Kyoto agreement because we could never make the Co2 cuts needed without distroying our economy which basically runs on cheap fossil fuels, some of which have peaked this year. The Co2 emissions we agree to will effect everything economically we do. Bush didn't have the where with all to tackle that one. For a smoother transition we need gree now to lessen the impact of Co2 and the fact that it is running out.

Most of us know that the US represent only 5% of the worlds population, uses the most of just about everything. I'm really concerned that our consumer/material society has lost touch with itself spiraling out of control. If we want enlightened change we need to get enlightened people in office not corporatists with a profit margin always the motive for any endeavor. But how to do that? The power brokers of our country represent about 1% of our population and those brokers are becoming less. So more control to less people. Capitalism is still running amok...

Obama's 'attempt' to get the Olympics in Chicago was at best showmanship. Personally I'm glad Rio got it. Its the first time a South American country will put the Olympics on.

Thanks Sah Sen I don't mind we lost the bid either. It would have been no more fairer for China to get it again; let others enjoy in this world. I feel a shadow of hate coming down on us, here in America, and it is coming from all corners of our country, inside and out.
