Will Haitians Sail North to US

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

With the US immigration status changing for Haitians living illegally in this country to legal status will this prompt more Haitians that are still on the devastated island to sail to the US?

Groups like FAIR lead by Dan Stein are conservative and no doubt not likely to open their arms to the Haitian people that may set sail north.

We will no doubt need a refugee plan for Haitian people so they can be safe from the ravages of the quake and following anarchy. Other countries will indeed need to be refugee hosts as well. If we don’t what does that say about our US moral fibre?

With the US dubios history in this country, how will the US help rebuild the island nation. Capitalist will traditionally want to decend on the country, because traditionally they will be able to scent the short term rebuilding profits ( And for gods sake don’t let Haliburton in there). If that happens then the Hatian government and therefor the people will see short term gains in rebuilding infrastructer and so on but once done with that then the bills come due. Then the small island economy will be starting out in the hole, much like the US students start there careers after college. Being always under the financial gun is highly likely to run into failure issues if anything happens from natural to political.

Should the UN take a major role and try to get the capitalists to rebuild the country in the form of world grants instead of loans? The grants could have stipulations requiring this and that be done in order to get the rebuilding money flowing. The capitalists will enjoy a stable income in the future with the new economy put into place. There would be plenty of money to be made but not so much in the short term. The main principle in this way of thinking is Hatian agra, financial, political sustainability, and respect gained from the Haitian people to the world for a ‘hand up’ not just a financially temporary expensive ‘hand out’ . But the key factor in this is that the country as a whole would not be starting out with a big debt causing the poor of the country not to be able to afford items causing political unrest due to the items inflated cost because of loan monies.

Obviously the current Hatian President René Préval, has a large job in front of him. Without the world backing of the UN lack of progress will only turn into more violence, and more failure both socially and economically leading to more refugee camps. The world has a chance to turn this lemon into lemonade if done correctly. If the world stands by and watches, a few foreign rebuilders will get richer while the many islanders will remain poor and angry then again pressuring that term ‘hope’. And yes we the US will have to go back again and again and again.

I believe that if the Haitian people see hope for rebuilding their country they will want to stay on the island and the need for long term refugee camps will be a short term one.

Black Obama has Killed the Black Movement

Monday, November 30th, 2009

As I promised I’ve added a little more clarity to the reason why I believe the Black Movement has been killed by the “Black” Obama. I make a point of Obama’s “Blackness” because I believe it has silenced the voice of the “Black” working class. Let’s face it… who among “Black Americans” really want’s to publicly criticize the First Black President of theUnited States of America? I believe it is hurting our ability to see straight. Where are the “Black” leaders that will challenge Obama openly to do right by the people?

There are many religions in this world. All of these mosques, tabernacles, churches, and temples say, *‘We (fill in the blank) are the true religious faith; we are on the right path/road’. There is one common problem with all of these religions. Mark 3:25 says, Mark 3:25
“If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”
Mark 3:24-26 (in Context) Mark 3 (Whole Chapter)

This isn’t a bible study. Actually it is to ask if the 3 main religions, are even true.

This is the problem with EVERY RELIGION on earth; even atheists have agnostics! We have all sorts of Christian religions, still they all say this or that one is on the correct path, and our brothers of the same religion but different branch or a divided belief, of the same religion, is not. The Muslims have the least (for now) with 3 sects: The Sunni, the Shia, and the new (what most of the world; including most Muslims believe) radical Islam groups. Islam is the youngest religion out of the 3 largest religions, but the fastest growing. In itself, the word Islam or Muslim means peace and submission to God. Radical Islam is a new fast growing division, in its religion.

I watched a youtube video called Zeitgeist religion and as I’ve said before to some, “It blew me away, with many facts. There were too many to dispute them as coincidence, for me anyways. So I showed a fellow iReporter it, (a believer in God) and after she told me that she still believed in God because of the miracles in her life. (I happened to agree, for the same reason) Yet the comparisons left me with MANY questions of why so many coincidences or beliefs had fundamentally the same beliefs all throughout history. Virtually every faith or philosophical tradition in modern history or as far back as the Mayans have predicted the age of the apocalypse (which is a Greek word literally translated as an UNVEILING OR REVEALING; reveal-ation) Hindus call it the Krita Age, astrologers call it the Age of Aquarius, the Jews describe the coming of the Messiah, theosophists call it the New Age, cosmologists (the Mayan) call it Harmonic Convergence. They all agree there is an apocalypse or revelation, on its way.

So I ask myself, “how is this possible?” I also told the ireporter who watched Zeitgeist that I would be studying this, until I figured it out, and then I left to go to work. On the way to work I was reading a fiction book, to my husband; I found the answer in the book. To my pleasant surprise this was the question asked in the book, “What could possibly explain such a synchronicity of beliefs in these different religions and philosophies?”

The answer is “The Truth” The answer in the book was “there could be a universal truth embedded in everyone’s soul. Maybe we all have the same story hiding inside, like a shared constant in our DNA. Maybe this collective truth is responsible for the similarities in all of our stories.” The book also said, “Truth has power. If we all gravitate toward similar ideas, maybe we do so because those ideas are true… written deep within us. When we hear the truth, even if we don’t understand it, we feel that truth resonate within us…vibrating with our unconscious wisdom. Perhaps the truth is not learned by us, but rather, the truth is re-called… re-membered …re-cognized… as that which is already inside us.” Excellent writing by Dan Brown.

Perfect answer for the question I was looking for; found in A FICTION BOOK. Imagine the surprise when I read this!

Lastly, convictions will lead us to the light or truth … darkness feeds on apathy…and conviction (whether you agree with me or not) is our most POTENT ANTIDOTE to the DARKNESS.
