Twas the night before healthcare, when all through the house

Not a republican was willing, not one of them louse!

Their wallets were hung by the chimney with care;

In hopes that rich lobbyists would soon be there!

The children were all dying in their hospital beds,

While visions of transplant denials danced in their heads.

And mamma with her tissue, and I taking off my cap,

Was watching poor Timmy drift into his eternal nap.

When out in the lobby, there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the hospital room to see what was the matter.

To the nurses station I flew like a flash

I asked the head nurse, “What the hell was that?”

With the smell of fresh printed money

Gave the luster of bailouts from the taxpayer loot

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a little caravan, of eight golden parachutes.

With a fat leader, so greedy and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Capitalist.

More rapid than vultures his coursers they came

And he whistled and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Aetna!, now AIG! Now, Wellpoint and Allstate! On Unum! On Conseco! On United Health care and State Farm!”

As the ink still runs on the claims of the wild hurricane still dry,

When the people met the obstacle of denials that stacked to the sky,

So to the billing department the coursers they flew,

With the caravan of insurance companies, and St. Capitalist too!

And then, in a twinkling, I heard from the roof,

The clicking and pawing of denial stamps from each of their fat little hoofs.

As I shook my head in disbelief, I barely had time to turn around

When down the hall St. Capitalist came with a bound.

He was dressed in fine linens, from his head to his shoes,

And his clothes were made at Asian sweatshops too!

A bundle of denial stamps he had flung on his back,

What a prick, he only came for that?

He was chubby and plump, what a mean old elf!

And I cringed when I saw him, thought I was going to be sick I told myself

A wink of his eye and a flick of his middle finger

Soon gave me to know, I had much more to dread

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work

He filled all the wallets with fat lobbyist checks, all I could think was “What a jerk”!

And one more flick of his middle finger right in front of my nose, he gave a nod, and up the elevator he rose!

He sprang to the golden parachutes; to his team he gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like 8 nasty vultures.

But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of site,

“Many denials to all, and to all, a painful death”

A business of caring less!

On September 24, 2009, in The Health Care Debate, by TJ

CIGNA says they are ‘A Business of Caring,’ but the reality is that they are getting filthy rich by denying basic coverage, specially to those patients that need it the most. Sick for Profit launched a contest to rename CIGNA’s advertising tagline.

Here is a great example!

In a bold statement, Pat Roberts (R – Kansas) said:

“The thing that I’m trying to point out is we would have at least 72 hours for the people that the providers have hired to keep up with all of the legislation that we pass around here, and the regulations that we pass around here, to say, ‘Hey, wait a minute. Have you considered this?’” Roberts said. “That 72 hours, I think, is highly, highly important.”

Did you know this man has received over $170,000 from insurance companies in the past 5 years?

If you don’t understand where I am getting at let me break this down for you.   I think most of it is pretty clear, but let us focus on one small part of his statement:   “for the people that the providers have hired “

Clearly, these are the words of a man who would rather put the interests of lobbyists before not only his constituents, but all citizens in this country, especially those that are in dire need of health care reform.  So tell us Pat, how much did you sell out the people of this fine country for?  Was it worth it?  I sure don’t think those constituents of yours being denied medical care would approve of such treachery.

So before you decide to cast your vote for this man, or any other politician, I think it may be wise to first find out who this person is really looking out for, and I am pretty sure from experience it is not you!

For the Cr@zY C0n$3rV@T!vE$

I would hate to be in your shoes right now, boy do you look and sound DUMB!

Its nice to hear the man you hate so much without rhyme or reason in 2 days make you look like nothing but complete ID10T’s.

We can only assume you did not watch the speech because you were not led by your shepherd FAUX News to watch it, so

A few simple facts

The public option plan DOES NOT add to the deficit

The public option is NOT MANDATORY

The public option WILL CREATE COMPETITION

The public option WILL HELP PEOPLE IN NEED

The president will NOT ALLOW YOUR SHEPHERDS to privatize Medicaid.

There will be NO RATIONING OF HEALTH CARE

Illegal immigrants WILL NOT BE covered

Even though one of your low class shepherds had the nerve to call the President a liar, it was nice to see someone with class refrain from acting ignorant, which I feel many of you could take a lesson in yourself.

I will say, you did miss a great speech though, and regardless of what your opinion of this man is, it was nice to hear someone that actually spoke for the people of this country and not the corporations.  I think many of you would benefit more and this country would once again prosper if you returned to the basis of what this country was founded upon – Of the People, For the People, By the People!

One final note, I am sorry he did have to put the ice goddess in her place and basically call her an outright liar.  POOR POOR PALIN!
