The last few years, America has seen some very interesting characters come out of the woodwork. These characters have become quite successful using terms like communist, socialist, and even photo shopping pictures morphing our current president into the likeness of Hitler. You could see these characters marching at rally’s, protesting health care reform, and fear mongering the public with lies that stated the reform would include “Death Panels”, all to protect corporations that were denying much needed health care to those that had paid their insurance premiums, but were left to die because America has placed the importance of money before compassion and humanity. They felt the market would work itself out, ignoring the pleas of the American people who were dying and could not wait any longer, and cared less about the repercussions of our current vulturistic-capitalist society.

On December 18th, 2010 the United States Government finally said it. Maybe not out loud, but in a way to deter the peoples outrage for the government’s final votes on three other bills.

The cake given to the American people was the ability for gay men and women to serve openly in the United States military. Yes, in the country that boasts to the world that they are the leader of the free world, they are still voting on who should and should not have equal rights. Homosexuality should not be an issue in this country, nor should we allow the few in power to decide whether or not certain people deserve the same liberties freely given to other naturally born citizens. Don’t ask, don’t tell should never have been implemented nor should our military ever have dishonorably discharged any member of the military because of their sexual orientation.

Funny to see all these people judging other people and preaching fire and brimstone on these blogs. They range from the very old to the very young. What’s rather interesting about these same people is how many will deny science and what many others state just because 1 book written over 4000 years ago states its wrong.

Now lets compare that mindset of religious belief to the mindset of the education of our children. If your child went to school and brought home a text book published in 1960, would you not say that the book is outdated and we have learned much since then? I would hope you would, but many here just don’t see it that way. Nope that book is law and I will deny anything that proves it wrong and outdated.

Washington: Who we are: Approve Referendum 71 is the campaign to preserve domestic partnerships in Washington State. By voting to approve, voters retain the domestic partnership laws that were passed during this year's legislative session, including using sick leave to care for a partner, adoption rights, insurance rights, and more. What we need: We need phone bankers to get our supporters out to vote. Washington is an all mail-in ballot state, and we need to ensure our supporters put their ballots in the mail. Also, youth turnout is a critical component of our campaign, and youth turnout historically drops in off-year elections

The United States Constitution, you have to love it. Not only does it guarantee us our freedoms we enjoy and that many good citizens have died for to protect, but it also is there to protect us from our own self-righteousness. I have heard many times before that the atheists, agnostics, and the Muslims are taking away the right to practice our religions. You see and hear this on TV, certain websites, and many, many blogs. Is it really true it’s those non-believers that are fighting hard to take this right away, or is it the religious themselves the ones destroying this right guaranteed by the constitution? The reason why I bring this up is because of the fear and propaganda I am hearing about the current president of this great nation. I have heard time and time again that he is a Muslim and he is out to destroy us. When we accuse this man of being a Muslim, are we not taking away his freedom of religion? Are we not demonizing someone else’s belief and telling the world his belief should not be allowed or accepted? Are we not telling people that we should not have the right [...]

Ever since I can remember, I have always been told I have a soul and my main purpose for living was to worship and serve the almighty God. I was also told that we are all sinners and we must strive to be perfect and follow the rules laid out by God. Every person on this earth has had to rely on their parents, teachers, and mentors to understand who and what God is, and what he expects of us. We are taught from an early age to follow our parents’ religion. Even though each religion has its faults, each one is based on a certain set of principles and those basic principles are supposed be the only answers we need to serve this God

The American Family Association, also known as the American Fascist Association is boycotting Pepsi Cola because they believe in equal rights for everyone, and heaven forbid (gasp) , including the gays. Reasons for the boycott AFA asked Pepsi to remain neutral in the culture war, but the company refused — choosing to support the homosexual activists. Pepsi has made no effort to hide their support for the homosexual agenda: Pepsi gave a total of $1,000,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) to promote the homosexual lifestyle in the workplace. Both HRC and PFLAG supported efforts in California to defeat Proposition 8 which defined marriage as being between a man and a woman. HRC, which received $500,000 from Pepsi, gave $2.3 million to defeat Proposition 8

This past weekend in Dearborn Mi was the 14th annual Arabic Festival. Its a fun little festival on Warren Road where many people of both arab descent and non arab descent come to and enjoy good food, arabic music, etc. This year, a christian religious group was barred from handing out christian literature to any of the visitors. In case you don't know, Dearborn MI has the largest community of Middle Eastern people outside the Middle East. There is a large muslim community and some christians here. My question is, was the federal judge blocking this group from passing out literature trying to avoid a potential confrontation considering many people stick to their religion and will fight to the death to protect it, or was he blocking the religious groups freedom of speech? I do know a lot of muslims, and many of them do not want to be bombarded with another religions literature. I myself am sick of the daily literatures dropped at my door that are pro muslim and pro christian
