I think I am still thirsty, but I haven’t any tea. I know I used to have some somewhere but where in this house could I have put it. You know, its been a rough year and I feel the older I get the more my memory fails me. In just a few days I will be 38 years old and I barely remember writing something about tea a year ago. I know what you must be thinking, why would anyone want to write about tea, especially with everything happening in this world today. I forget what exactly happened last year that angered me so much that I just had to write about tea. Hmmm let me think about that for a moment.
I remember something about putting the last two tea bags I had in with my taxes. I know I followed the directions step by step exactly the way the news told me to do. If I remember correctly, I eventually sent in my taxes, even though they were a few days late, but why did the news station want me to send in tea with my taxes???? I am unsure what changed, if anything, ever since many people including myself sent in tea with our taxes. I mean come on; foreclosures are still rampant in my neighborhood, banks have gone belly up, I still see many jobs being sent overseas, and unemployment is still destroying this once great state I reside in.
I really am unsure what to think this was all for. I mean if something did change maybe I would have found a better job this year, or maybe I wouldn’t be fighting with my mortgage company as much as I have. Hell, maybe I thought I could afford better insurance, but nope, that hasn’t happened just yet either. I think one thing that did change is the fact that I can no longer be denied for my pre-existing conditions, but I don’t think sending tea in with my taxes had anything to do with that. Hmmm, maybe it was sitting back and doing nothing to help my neighbors from being thrown out of their homes because they have lost their jobs, or they couldn’t keep up with their medical bills??? Hmmm, nope, I don’t think that helped either. I wonder if things have changed because so many people sat back and let the banks continue to economically destroy this country and blame the government for this, and then turn around and blame the government for handing out billions of our dollars to bail them out while the banks economically raped the people through interest rates and new fee after fee???? No, I think that made things worse in this country too! So what the hell was this tea party thing ever for????
You know, when I think about this “tea party” thing even more, I start to wonder and ask myself what was it all for and what did it really do for this country? I remember something about people complaining that the government was sticking its nose and meddling with the free market, yet, I have not seen these same people complain or do anything to stop the free market from meddling with the government and mandating their services upon us.
What amazed me even more about these people is the way they portrayed the president of this country. I have never seen such vile signs comparing him to Hitler, seeing the racist signs screaming nothing but hate. Like I said, my memory may not be the greatest, but as I looked up Hitler in the history books I noticed that he massacred millions of people by genocide and had nothing to do with health care reform. It was amazing how these same people screamed socialism when they in fact support communism more and more by refusing to protect American jobs and refusing to buy from American companies.
Now the health care reform circus now wasn’t that pleasant to watch? I have never seen such rhetoric and bullpucky from the tea baggers like I have when it came to basic humanity. I was shocked to see how many people hid behind the bible yet cared nothing about their fellow man. Its easy to say people like me want a handout, but these same people have never had to deal with a life threatening disease just to survive and be economically raped by the free market. FREE???? LMFAO
I have never heard so many excuses from so many people that I didn’t plan enough for my disease and that I wanted nothing but a hand out. You know, when I was stricken with cancer at age 27 I had health insurance and I was told it was one of the best insurance plans I could get. What amazed me even more is that when it came time to use it, I was given nothing but hell and heartache from the company that was supposed to protect me. After living the American nightmare and wanting reform not just for me, but for many other hard working Americans, these same people called me a socialist and lazy. How interesting they felt they knew everything about me yet never once met me in person or had the gull to even come ask questions. I guess they would rather believe that all knowing “Sarah Clueless Palin” than actually going out there and finding out the truth for themselves.
Another major LOL was these same people swore they were defending true democracy and freedom where the same people spreading fear and propaganda about giving them darn gays equal rights and the FREEDOM to marry their partners because they wanted to protect the sanctity of marriage, yet refused to vote to make divorce illegal. How ironic they fought so hard to take away the freedoms of others but were petrified and screamed hell to high waters at the top of their lungs that their new president was taking away their freedoms. You know if I think about it, I think there is a word for that.
The last thing that blew my mind was all the rhetoric on global warming. How interesting that was to watch. I mean come on, you can believe it is happening or you can believe your corporate gods that we must consume and destroy nature at full force, but regardless what you believe, what is really wrong with the thought that maybe we should cut back on pollution and consumption? Maybe we should start to use more recyclable materials and renewable energies. What is more important to you, clean air, or more money for the oil giants? What on earth is wrong with being responsible with the only home we know???? You know, just because your lights are out, does not mean you are doing anything to celebrate earth day.
Actually, now that I think about it there, the last year was nothing but a political joke. Screw the tea; I am now switching to coffee. A little bit of cream and 2 doses of reality, its amazing what you will learn if you just open your eyes and look back at what really has been going on. Tea, not only can our country not afford it, I am not going to buy it anymore. With all the TEApocracy and rhetoric I just don’t see the point.
Updated from: I think I am thirsty; maybe I should get me some tea.
For the past few years I have heard nothing but union bashing and stories of how these people have destroyed American labor. Many of you have repeatedly spoken nothing but lies and misinformation about the American Auto Workers. In my eyes, you have done nothing but help destroy an industry who has worked hard to supply almost every one of you a comfortable and safe car so you can get around.
Today I will put a face on the ones you love to hate and show you these people bleed red like the rest of Americans, and I want you to look at their faces and think of them the next time you feel so inclined to help destroy the foundation of this country – AMERICAN LABOR.
I dedicate this video to my grandfather who died on the line, and to my friends and family who are working on the line and are in the process of losing their jobs.
To the rest of you, I hope you never have to go through the loss of your job because you were sold out by your fellow Americans. These jobs are going, and there is nothing to replace them.

With all the economic turmoil in this country right now, many people love to point their fingers at their fellow man and blame them for the problems we all face in this country.
One thing I think many of you fail to realize is that there is a multitude of people innocently affected by the housing crisis. First off, not everyone took out a bad mortgage and not everyone bought more than they could afford. While talking to a fellow blogger on the phone about the current crisis in my neighborhood, I decided to see what the competition is in my neighborhood and the above picture is the “tell all” for what many people are facing today.
Many people have taken huge pay cuts and many people have lost their job due to many companies closing up. When the only option you have is to move to another part of the state or out of state all together to feed your family, how do you sell your house with this type of competition? Many of these homes were approximately 100,000 4 years ago and it wasn’t until last quarter of 2008 when these homes all went into foreclosure. Today, many people would love to get a brand new start and are unable to because they have to make a tough decision to make, and that decision is to either wait out the economic storm and destroy their credit rating trying to save the home they live in, or just walk away entirely further decimating the neighborhood and their once decent credit rating.
Like I have said before, just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. I could care less whether or not my neighbor took out a mortgage they couldn’t afford or couldn’t pay the bills due to job loss; I am strictly blaming the banks for the loss of the value of my home.
The banks did not have to refuse to work with the thousands of people that were in jeopardy of losing their homes. They could of worked with these people before things got as bad as they did. If you think the worst is behind us, think again, I am sure there are many people hanging on by barely a thread and its only time before reality hits us a second time.
I found this video yesterday at www.defeatthedebt.com
Very interesting to say the least!!!
I looked up many the responses to this video and there were some very angry people out there because they stated they were using children to pass a political message. Many stated it was the right wing going after the current President. I did browse the site for a bit and they seemed to be quite neutral in regards to political stance.
What I find interesting about the responses I read is that many people are still very blind to the real issues that is destroying this country. The American people were blindsided by NAFTA and the excessive loss of American jobs because corporations are no longer loyal to their mother country and would rather find cheaper labor to produce and turn the United States into a nation of consumption not production.
I hear many people scream when the current administration is trying to implement a health care system that is affordable, and usable for its people.
What if NAFTA was never implemented? Would we be in this current mess we are now? The Detroit News published an interactive map a few months ago during the automotive crisis and on each state there were totals of the amount of manufacturing jobs that this country lost so they could find cheaper labor overseas. The totals were in the millions. How many more American jobs are you going to be ok with going overseas before you finally wake up and say, wait a minute, something is wrong? When is the last time you walked into any behemoth corporation and was able to choose between a product “Made in America” and “Made in China”?
I hear many scream “not out of my pocketbook” to help your fellow country men get health care in order to survive or once again become a productive member of society. I have heard many people tell others to go get a job! Where should they go to get that job? Should we all start packing up and moving to that communist country you all supposedly hate, yet, you support with every dollar you spend to get that buck savings?
Capitalism will not work without a level playing field. Nor will this nation prosper if we continue to let our jobs go overseas in areas where there is no labor laws, where there are very unsafe working conditions, and where the product you buy is tainted with chemicals and lead.
Where should the American drive be when many of you feel that it is ok for American laborers to make less money every year while the cost to survive continually goes up and up every year?
Why do you feel its ok for people to go bankrupt and not have health care, yet you continually sell out your fellow American to save a buck at your local corporate behemoth? Instead of screaming at your neighbors to get a job, why don’t you start screaming at the government to first, bring them back, but no, you just continue to buy foreign.
Enjoy your new pledge of allegiance, you deserve it!
